Welcome to the May 31st, 2021 Edition of Lingerie Sewing Round Up!
If you are new around here, the Lingerie Sewing Roundup is a curation of a few projects, tips and tutorials, and ongoing events in the lingerie sewing community. These posts will encompass swimwear sewing and activewear sewing as well. It’s a quick catch up for you to enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea. The roundup is posted twice a month, on the 15th and the last day of every month.
If you want to be part of the lingerie sewing roundup, shoot me an email at thetailormadeblog[@]gmail.com with links to your video, blog post, or just photos if you don’t have a blog and I’ll be sure to include your work!

News & Events
New Bra/Bralette Pattern: Gemini Pattern
The Gemini is new Bra/Bralette Twin Pattern by Gravity by Grandy. This is their first pattern release. As per the company:
The Gemini is a twin pattern of bra and bralette. They are almost identical, but unique in it’s own way. You don’t need to weigh your options on buying either a wired or non-wired bra because you can have both options from this pattern.
Key features of this pattern: adjustable wrap over cup, full coverage cup design, wired frame for better support and separation, non-wired bralette for optimal comfort, stylish for everyday wear, nursing friendly with open cup
You can purchase the Gemini Bra/Bralette Twin Pattern here.
New Free* Swim Pattern: Speedwell Swimsuit
Mood Fabrics has a new free swim pattern in the form of the Speedwell Swimsuit. According to Mood, “The new Speedwell Swimsuit brings the classic style of a one-piece along with the comfort and breeziness of a two-piece.”
*You will need to provide your email address in order to access the free pattern.
Instructions on how to get the free Speedwell Swimsuit Pattern is available here.
New Bra Pattern: Céleste Half Cup Bra
Eclipse Lingerie Studio just released their first underwire bra pattern: the Céleste Half Cup Bra. As per the pattern designer:
Céleste is a underwired half cup bra, whose cups and basque are enhanced with scalloped lace. Céleste offers good support and a round shape thanks to the vertical seam of the cup, the chest is open and the straps are more widely spaced than on a classic bra; It is therefore a model that goes very well with dresses or tops with scoop necklines.
Please note the pattern is in French, but in my experience with Eclipse Lingerie Studio Patterns they have amazing technical illustrations that make the instructions easy to follow. In addition, you can copy and paste the instructions to Google Translate.
You can purchase the Céleste Half Cup Bra Pattern here.
