January 15th, 2020 Edition // Lingerie Sewing Roundup
Happy New Year guys! If you’ve been a long time reader, you probably noticed that there have not been weekend roundups the last two Fridays.
It’s because I’m changing things up this year! Instead of publishing a weekly roundup of lingerie sewing related news, I will be doing it on a semi-monthly basis. Roundups will now be published on the 15th and last day of each month.
This is the first Lingerie Sewing Roundup of 2020!
If you are new around here, the Lingerie Sewing Roundup is a curation of a few projects, tips and tutorials, and ongoing events in the lingerie sewing community. Lately, these posts have encompass swimwear sewing and activewear sewing as well. It’s a quick catch up up for you to enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea.
If you want to be part of the lingerie sewing roundup, shoot me an email at thetailormadeblog[@]gmail.com with links to your instagram, blog post, or just photos if you don’t have a blog and I’ll be sure to include your work!
As a side note, I am *maybe* considering renaming this blog series to something else since it now also encompasses swimwear and activewear sewing. What do you guys think? I’d love to know your thoughts!

News & Events
The #Bra-a-week Challenge is back!
Erin of Emerald Erin is bringing back the #braaweekchallenge! Making a bra a week sounds daunting but you don’t have to participate every week and you don’t have to sew bras only. You can sew bralettes, panties, garter belts, etc! It’s more about the community and cheering each other on as Erin puts it! The rules are below:
I’ve already jumped in on the challenge, but it’s not to churn out 52 bras in 52 weeks! My focus this year is sewing sports bras and sporty bras for everyday wear! I want to use the challenge to push myself to really dive deep in sewing sports bras for myself and my friends and family.
Will you be joining in on the bra-a-week-challenge?
Pattern Refresh: Boylston Bra
Orange Lingerie has refreshed the pattern instructions for the beloved Boylston Bra pattern. You can learn about the full extent of the refresh here and how to get the updated pattern instructions if you’ve purchased this pattern previously!
That’s it for this roundup! I’ll be back on January 31st, 2020 with the next roundup. Thanks for reading!
