DIY: Skull Necklaces

Co-worker’s DIY Necklace (The Original)

Once upon a time, my coworker made this awesome layered skull necklace. She wore it to work a couple of times and made a number of colleagues (myself included) extremely covetous of it. A while back, I asked her if she could show me where to buy the materials and if I could knock it off. She said yes on both accounts. 🙂

My take on the skull necklace

While I was blocking out the individual strands to the necklace, I couldn’t help but think that they would look amazing if worn on their own. I decided to make the three layers into individual necklaces. That way, I can wear each of them on its own and mix and match them according to my outfit.

I love the way this project came out. I can’t wait to wear these necklaces (individually and together)!
