March 8th 2019 Edition // Lingerie Sewing – Weekend Roundup
Welcome to the March 8th, 2019 Edition of Lingerie Sewing: Weekend Round Up!
The Lingerie Sewing: Weekend Roundup is a curation of a few projects/ongoing events in the lingerie making community. It’s a quick catch up for you to enjoy over the weekend with a cup of coffee or tea. If you want to be part of the weekend roundup, shoot me an email at thetailormadeblog[@]gmail.com with links to your instagram, blog post, or just photos if you don’t have a blog and I’ll be sure to include your work!
This week’s roundup image features the lacy Darcey Bra by Evie la Luve. This is not a pattern this is currently available–it is a pattern hack of the Darcey Bra Pattern. Here’s how to do the lacy Darcey pattern hack if you own the pattern.

Projects & Makes
- This pink jersey Watson Bra that Eleanor made looks super comfy!
- Cassandre sewed up a lovely Harriet Bra and two matching underwear in a black lace! Also I am a huge fan of the Stockman dress form she has–if only Stockman made them in more sizes….!
- Cassie constructed a Barrett Bralette with a fun strappy elastic back.
Tips & Tutorials
- For the month of February, the Fairy Bra Mother challenged bra makers to share techniques that have made bra making easier and more efficient for them! They have rounded up all these tips and tricks in this handy blog post!
News & Events
New Underwear Pattern!
Sew Uprising (a new-to-me pattern company) recently released the Harriet Panties Pattern! As per the pattern maker: The Harriet Panties are a two for one pattern featuring both a sporty and a sexy look! View A is the sporty look of the two and is a full fabric panty where as view B is the slightly sexier look with a fabric front and a lace back. Both views feature a wrap around side detail, fold over elastic finishing, a wide gusset, and a classic mid-rise styling.
You can purchase the Harriet Panties Pattern here.
That’s it for this week! Have a great weekend everyone.
