Elma Essentials – Everyday Lingerie for the Petite Woman
Happy Friday guys! I’ve been waiting over half a year to make this announcement! Elma Lingerie and I have joined forces to produce a trial run of an affordable everyday Elma padded bralette!
Two years ago, I flew into Vancouver, BC to take a bra-making class, because I could not find bras that fit at the retail level. I was also being constantly told by stores that did not carry anything in my size. My band and cup size were too small. Today, I have a sizable wardrobe full of memade bras that fit me. Today, I also run an online fabric and trims store that specializes in lingerie making supplies so home sewers have access to quality materials to do the same: make bras that fit.
However, I recognize that not everyone is interested in sewing their own bras and this is why I’m working together with Elma. Elma Lingerie is a luxury intimates brand based in California and Elma’s mission is to create beautiful, well-fitting handmade lingerie for petite women. Both her mission and aesthetic resonate with me, which is why I reached out to her about the possibility of a collaboration back in April. I flew into San Francisco, took the Caltrain to San Jose, and met with Elma for lunch.
As I’ve mentioned here and there, I have a background in Production, Sourcing, & Development in the Fashion Industry. Both Elma and I settled on the idea of producing a small run of one of her popular bralette styles at an affordable price point. The materials sourcing and production of the style took course over the last few months and I’m really excited to announce that it’s available for purchase starting today!
The Adelphi Bralette is made using a beautiful scallop lace and lined with stretch mesh. It comes in two colorways: Black and Ivory. It is outfitted with quality hardware (gold and gunmetal rings & sliders) and has optional padding. The plunge neckline is incredibly flattering on and the best part is that it’s Made in USA!
This is a limited trial run so grab yours before they’re gone!
